About this Tour

The most relaxed way to experience the Nile: 8 days / 7 nights Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan – including a private round-trip transfer from your hotel in Hurghada. On the first day you are picked up around 6 a.m. in Hurghada and travel comfortably in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor (about 4 hours, with a short rest stop). There you meet your Egyptologist and board your 5-star ship. Over the following days you visit Karnak and Luxor, the West Bank with the Valley of the Kings, Edfu and Kom Ombo, the sights of Aswan and the temples of Abu Simbel – with a full free day on board to relax. On day 8, after disembarkation, you are taken straight back to your hotel in Hurghada. 7 nights full board on board, English-speaking Egyptologist, all transfers – departing every day.

Your Itinerary

1 Day 1 – Pickup in Hurghada & Transfer to Luxor, Embarkation

Pickup around 6 a.m. from your hotel in Hurghada in a private, air-conditioned vehicle (about 4 hours, with a short 20-minute rest stop; please order your breakfast box one day in advance). In Luxor your experienced Egyptologist will be waiting. Embarkation on the 5-star cruise ship, dinner on board and overnight in Luxor.

2 Day 2 – Karnak Temple & Luxor Temple

Visit the spectacular Karnak temple complex, dedicated to the Theban triad, and Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and completed by Tutankhamun and Ramses II. Overnight on board.

3 Day 3 – West Bank: Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut & Colossi

Breakfast on board, then visit the West Bank: the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon and the terraced mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Overnight on board.

4 Day 4 – Edfu Temple & Kom Ombo Temple

Sail to Edfu and visit the best-preserved temple of the falcon god Horus. Continue to Kom Ombo and the unusual double temple of the gods Sobek and Haroeris. Overnight on board.

5 Day 5 – Philae Temple, High Dam & Unfinished Obelisk

Arrival in Aswan. Visit Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, the Aswan High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk in the northern quarries. Overnight on board.

6 Day 6 – Abu Simbel Temples

Very early morning: drive in a private vehicle to the Abu Simbel temples (about 3 hours each way). Visit the great temple of Ramses II with its four colossal statues and the temple of Queen Nefertari – a first-class UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight on board.

7 Day 7 – Free Day on Board

Relaxation and leisure on board: enjoy the sun deck, the pool and the passing Nile scenery. Overnight on board.

8 Day 8 – Disembarkation & Return Transfer to Hurghada

After breakfast, disembarkation in Luxor. Your driver takes you back in the private, air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Hurghada.
