Schedule of the Private Trip to Luxor
The trip to Luxor starts early in the morning, with pickup around 6:00 AM. You will travel in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle via Safaga along the newly expanded coastal road to the Nile Valley in Qena.
Along the way, there will be a short stop to stretch your legs and for a quick restroom break.
The journey continues on a busy country road until reaching Luxor (about 60 km). During the drive, you will get your first impressions of everyday life in Egypt.
The travel time to Luxor takes about 3 hours. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a tour guide.
After a brief refreshment break, you will marvel at the largest temple complex in the world, the Karnak Temple, with its enormous hall of columns. Then you will experience the Nile, the longest river in the world, on a motorboat. The boat departs from Thebes West, where you will later enjoy a traditional local lunch.
After lunch, refreshed and energized, you will explore the world-famous “Valley of the Kings,” including the interior visits of at least three royal tombs.
Recently, photography with mobile phones inside the tombs without flash has been allowed free of charge.
Afterward, you will visit the Terrace Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which is world-famous and a true highlight for your memorable photos.
Your tour will end at the impressive Colossi of Memnon.
Then you begin the return journey, a perfect time to reflect on the day’s impressions or perhaps observe life along the Nile.
You will arrive back at your hotel around 8:00 PM. This full-day tour to Luxor & the Valley of the Kings will surely remain an unforgettable experience.
